Jiu-Jitsu Gypsies is a 501(c)(3) organization that coordinates women’s Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) events in South Florida and Colorado to promote growth in the women’s BJJ community and provide a platform for social interactions among practitioners and newcomers. Our mission is to foster the growth of sisterhood in the BJJ community by creating safe, friendly spaces for those who identify as women and girls to network, train, and enter the sport. We are committed to empowerment, friendship, inclusion, and equity and do so by connecting and lifting up our sisters in BJJ.
Every month we host a rotating ladies-only open mat at a different school bringing women together with common ground of sisterhood and jiu jitsu. All affiliations, ages, and experience levels are welcome. Our events are always free. We are always grateful to accept charitable donations, but any donations or community collections are always optional.
